At Nesin Therapy, our approach to physical therapy is truly different. We are committed to one-on-one care by our licensed and highly skilled physical therapists and physical therapist assistants.
Throughout the history of Nesin Physical Therapy, it seems that circumstances come together to allow us to help our patients when they need us the most. Our start in pelvic health was no different.
From treating at one of the first pelvic health outpatient programs in California to fellowships with the Institute of Physical Art, both of the Nesins had experience in treating pelvic floor dysfunction prior to opening their first outpatient clinic in 1999. Although primarily an orthopedic clinic practicing manual techniques, the Nesins knew in order to fully understand an orthopedic condition, like low back pain, you needed to consider the pelvic floor!
Because of their expertise in manual therapy and ability to address complex pelvic health issues, Nesin began to quickly expand their referral base to include pelvic floor conditions from providers across Alabama. And thus, our reputation as a leader in pelvic health physical therapy in this region was born, and we have continued to pursue expertise in this specialty ever since.
As one clinic expanded to three clinics each with hefty pelvic caseloads, it was clear that it was time to expand again, this time to open a clinic devoted exclusively to the treatment of patients with pelvic health conditions.
Nesin Therapy values excellence, collaboration, life-long learning, integrity and nurturing. The company implements these values daily through it’s leadership team and staff in order to provide the highest quality physical therapy services.
Nesin’s vision is to set the standard of excellence for the world as a model physical therapy practice. The mission of the company is to improve the health and well-being of our clients and community while securing a stable business environment that nurtures professional and personal growth for our employees. Our leadership team plays a vital role in ensuring the success of the company and its employees.
What got you interested in pelvic health?
I became interested in pelvic health from my PT school years when we had a guest lecture talk about bladder and pregnancy conditions PT’s could treat. I was amazed by our profession’s role in pelvic healing and decided to explore further with a pelvic specialty internship before graduating. So down the rabbit hole I went and I haven’t looked back since!

What got you interested in pelvic health?
As an outpatient orthopedic physical therapist I expanded my knowledge of the pelvic floor’s role in core stabilization, low back, hip, or lower extremity pain and realized the pelvic floor can be the primary cause or at least a part of the puzzle to improve someones core/lower body strength or pain. Turns out there are a lot of people I can help. This goes back to the root reason I am a Physical Therapist, I want to help people. I want to enable people to live their life with less pain and be able to move their bodies through life with less obstacles and more ease.
