Self-care doesn’t have to stop after Valentine’s Day, prioritize your pelvic health all year long! Whether you enjoy staying active or prefer a peaceful day of relaxation, your health should help brighten your mood—not dampen it.  

Take a moment to focus on your pelvic health. Just like the rest of your body, your pelvic floor benefits from balance. It’s essential to both relax and move your body to maintain this balance—so be sure to dedicate time to both!

Here are a few simple ways to nurture your pelvic health:

  • Take a walk: Gentle movement helps promote circulation and strengthen your pelvic floor.
  • Drink enough water: Staying hydrated is key to your overall health, including your pelvic health.
    • Men 19 and older should aim for 13 cups (104 ounces) of water daily.
    • Women 19 and older should aim for 9 cups (72 ounces) of water daily.
    • Pregnant women should drink 10 cups (80 ounces) of water daily.
  • Take a bath: Relaxing in a warm bath can soothe tension and promote relaxation in the pelvic floor.
  • Do pelvic floor exercises: Strengthening your pelvic floor muscles can prevent issues down the line.
